"Random Week Stuff #5" 5/26/09

Hi everyone, let's just dive right into this week.

What creates loneliness? It seems that even when you are surrounded by the people that you love and that love you it still creeps up on you and makes you feel down. It's pretty lame. So what is it? Unhappiness? Who knows...but I wish we could find the way to not feel like it. At least for me.

Another debatable item at hand...is dog fighting rings. Look, I'm against animal cruelty and such. I don't think it's a good thing to have around and I do believe that it's wrong. But really people...get off Vick's back about this. He's going to get hell for it forever, and really...there are worse things that people have done and got away with and forgiven for. Look around the world though people. You got the run of the bulls, which leaves tons of bulls killed in the streets. You have cock fighting rings down in Mexico that is a big deal. You got poachers going on in Africa and trapping animals for anything. Now don't get all pissed off at me for saying all this...I just want to know people's opinions and how they are feeling on the subject. If you don't know who MIKE VICK is, he's a former quarterback for the Falcons and was busted for dog fighting. If you want to know more info on it, go HERE. Anyway, again to state I think that it's wrong what he did. I think it's cruel and that the he deserves what has happened to him. But at the same time I think that when all this is over with, he should have the chance to redeem himself. Everyone deserves a second chance. Thoughts?

As for what's going on in my life...there's not much happening. My Memorial Day was full of working and sitting around in my room. Yay. It's ok...time and a half is always good. Other than that I'm just trying to figure out the summer and all. It's for sure on people. June 12th weekend I am going to Colorado to see the Mariners and Rockies play. Fred is definitely in, and Shane says he's going...which means he'll go cause I'll kick his butt if he doesn't let me take him to his first game. So anyway...if you want to come please let me know. If we get another person or two...I'm going to see if I can borrow the van and we can all be comfortable on the drive. It'll be fun! Let's do it! :)

Sports time my friends. :)

Well, look what we got going on here! Denver beats LA by 19? What? I watched the fourth quarter...and I have to say that LA is going to have some issues if Denver can keep that fire going. They were just toying with LA that whole quarter. And the more I watch Kobe try and run the whole game and take all the shots...the more I realize that LA is going to fail. I think Denver still has it. And I want Denver to take it. :) As for the Magic/Cavs series, I'm just baffled. I really thought that the Cavs had that one in the bag. But wow...the Magic really have stepped it up and pulled through. LBJ has the power and all...but that just isn't enough with the Magic shutting it all down. I still think that's anyone's series though...and Game Four is going to be a big deal here. Guess we'll find out what will happen eh boys? :)

As for the baseball world that I know oh so many of you guys care about....it's going well. The top teams we have for the start of the week are NL: Dodgers, Brewers and Phillies...AL: Rangers, Tigers, and Red Sox. Now...what's great about all this, is that the Dodgers are killing it without Manny. Pierre is still tearing up the boards along with Hudson and others. The Brewers have topped out the Cardinals which is a pretty amazing feat for sure. The Cubs on the other hand have lost 8 in a row...which is no good for them in the NL Central. Phillies are a no brainer down there, but the Mets are on their tail. As for the AL, this is where it all gets interesting. The Rangers aren't the strongest team. They usually fail by mid-season or somewhere around there and drop out the the race. Angels are the team usually on top and hard to beat. But...they have flipped flopped roles this year so far. The Mariners aren't horribly behind but they just can't keep it up. As for the Tigers, this is the biggest thing when it comes to all this. The AL Central has always been fairly weak. But the Tigers have never really been a team that was a contender. It's usually the White Sox or the Twins. But with the Tigers taking the lead by four games, it's nice to see something a bit different. As for the AL East...blah. Red Sox on top again. This is mainly due to the Blue Jays losing eight in a row, making them fall from first. Doesn't help either when the Yankees are on a 10 game tear. Now, I have always hated the Yankees more than the Red Sox...but this year...there is just something about the Yanks that I'm very impressed with. Red Sox can still go blow themselves though. ;) Oh, and A-Rod can go ahead and get himself hurt again. I wouldn't mind that. Though he's doing very well since he's been back for sure.

I want to keep up with the home run race. So here's our top 5:

Home Runs:
1. Raul Ibanez, PHI 17
2. Adrian Gonzalez, SDG 17
3. Carlos Pena, TAM 15
4. Albert Pujols, STL 14
5. Adam Dunn, WAS 14

That's all I got for baseball. Anyone see how Syracuse won in OT over Cornell in lacrosse? That was pretty cool to see as well.

"Random Week Stuff #4" 5/19/09

Better week going on this time. So no worries here. Sorry again for being somewhat late on this again. Just had no motivation to do this last night. Mainly cause I have started over on Fallout 3 and also cause Lex was still hanging around town. Can I just say that Fallout 3 is fetching amazing? If you're looking for a great game to get yourself into that's single player...definitely pick that sucker up. Also been playing a lot of Call of Duty: World at War. Another wonderful game to be playing on Live. Lots of fun for sure.

So I'll be straight with you all. Since I always have been and such. And mainly cause I have been dying to just get it off my chest. I had my first drink last weekend. Yeah, yeah...not that big of a deal. But going this long without it ever has been a pretty big feat for me in my mind. All I got to say though is...really? People actually enjoy that? I find it so utterly gross. I mean yeah, you can get your mixed drinks and fruity stuff...but still. So not enjoyable. Especially for the money you put out for it. Yeah I know when people drink with problems and stuff they don't really care about the taste and stuff so it probably doesn't matter. But for people that go out and just have a drink at dinner and stuff...why? Soda is like 4 bucks cheaper and refillable. Not only that but it's 10 times more tastier. Meh, guess it's a matter of preference. Just so you know, it's all Shane and Fred's fault. Not mine. ;) jk jk. It was time. I'm one of the people that needs to experience things before I judge them for the most part. Excluding smoking and drugs. Pretty sure I don't need to do that to know I don't want them. Anyway, don't judge and stuff. Just letting it out. :)

So the new place is doing alright. Not a full house quite yet. Just four of us living here all in our own rooms. Pretty nice actually. We'll have another guy moving in here in about two weeks I think. Then if someone else moves in it probably won't be till Fall. Kyle broke our air conditioner today due to him being sick. So I am assuming he was BURNING UP with a fever and that's why he set it to 60 and it stopped working. It's kicked back on now here at 2:30 am. So, maybe it just locked up for a bit or something. Not entirely sure. Either way I need to talk to the office about getting paid for the computer work I did for them, so I might as well mention the AC and see if they will come take a look at it. I have absolutely no money in my account. Good thing I get paid on Wednesday. Hopefully it's enough to cover everything and also a bit more as well. Guess we'll find out.

I finally got around to watching STEP BROTHERS on Saturday night. Lex and I rented it after going out to eat (thanks for paying babe) and she ended up falling asleep. So I just went ahead and watched it. All I got to say about the movie is that if you like crude films...this is your playground. I rank it right up there with Role Models and Knocked Up. Love all these movies that are coming out. Plus it's just nice to see Will Farrell go back to his crude ways instead of all the kid movies he keeps doing. Guess you can't pull an Eddie Murphy forever. :)

My left speaker on my laptop is blown. Really pisses me off.

Sports time girls. Scroll down as usual if you don't want to read. :)

Ok. So my predictions were a little off. But only with the games they were going to end on and such. Cavs/Hawks I was dead on. Celtics/Magic I went with the Celtics...and yes, Magic pulled it off. Boston was just too tired...and they just wanted to stay home. You could tell. It was a good run Boston, but it's time for all your sports teams to fail again. :) (At least we hope). As for the Western side of it all, Lakers/Rockets I was right about the Lakers making it. I was extremely surprised that they took it to Game Seven. But you know if you push the Lakers to a Game Seven they are going to wake up and get pissed off. It's like throwing rocks at a dog. It might bark a bit and growl, but once you push it into a corner it's going to come out teeth bared and biting. I was very impressed watching the Rockets. Who knew that those little guys could actually do so much? Sheeze. Nuggets/Mavs I was off by a game, but the Nuggets pulled it off. Now it's all on the finals. On the East for sure we got the Cavs that are going to push through. The Magic will give them a run for their money for sure, but not till later. I see the first two games going to Cleveland. Hands down. They just have so much energy and hype right now and Orlando is tired and shaky. We'll see what happens. But I'm saying for this series that:

Cavs will beat the Magic ending in Game Five.

As for the West, Lakers/Nuggets will be a fun one to watch. The way it was going to be is if the Rockets beat the Lakers, I would have no doubt that Denver would beat Houston in 5 games. Hands down. Denver is an awesome team this year. But since the Lakers have moved on, it's very much in the air now. I am going to say that this series will end as:

Nuggets will beat the Lakers ending in Game Seven.

Bold prediction I know. But hell, we have had almost half the series that were played go to Game Seven, and we gotta keep living the hype right? :) I would cite more about why I think these matches would go this way with more players being in the mix and why this and that...but man, It's almost 3:00am. I want to get this over with. ;)

Another fun thing to read about is this: CONFLICT...Seems that the management at Kroenke Sports wasn't being very supportive for the team that they own. The Denver Nuggets. (Go ahead, watch the movie it's a lot better than reading.) :)

Baseball. Ahhh...I'm just loving it right now. Yes the Mariners are struggling a bit, but it's alright. In all three of my fantasy baseball leagues I am currently in first place. Big awesome pat on the back for me. Lol. Just to give you a bit of an update on all the hype, this is what's going on. I'm not going to cite every team even though I really could if I want to.

A's: Last place in the AL West currently. They are being trashed in almost every game, their pitching is just not enough to handle anything currently. Averaging about 5-6 run loss every game.

Yankees: Bouncing back heavily. They have won eight of their last ten games, and they are adjusting nicely to their new park. Still going to stand by my feelings on how their new park is just fetching ridiculous. Hitters heaven there by far.

Tigers: Still first place in their division. Miguel Cabrera is hitting .375 at the moment being 2nd highest in the AL. Strong hitting team when you got Inge, Dye, and Granderson all backing you as well. Even better when you have Verlander averaging 9 SO per game. Insane.

Phillies: World champs are currently tied with the Mets for first in the division. The Phillies started out a bit slow in April but definitely have picked it back up. Though they have played some pretty easy teams to pick themselves back up with (Washington, Colorado). Raul Ibanez has been doing great this year tied up in 2nd place with two other for most home runs in the league at 13.

Cardinals: Started out great but have hit a bit of a slump. They have lost five of their last seven to drop them in the three spot in the division. Doesn't help that they were all losses to teams within the division either.

Dodgers: Godlike right now. Manny is in at the start of the season...they do amazing. Manny gets busted for roids and he's gone...but what about the Dodgers? They just keep on winning. Juan Pierre comes in for Manny's 50 game suspension and wow. This guy is killing it. Watch him...fastest bugger in the world. I hope something happens as well when Manny comes back July 3rd. I'm wanting Pierre to play just as much. He's been just downright amazing.

Sorry I went on a bit of a spill there...but it had to be done. Just love baseball. :)

Speaking of baseball...I really want to see Seattle play this year. They are going to be in Colorado June 12-14th. If you want to come with Shane and myself please let us know so we can play this all out. Thanks. :)

"Random Week Stuff #3" 5/12/09

Sigh...not my favorite week this week. But all in all it's doing ok. You know when you just get snowballed by something in life...where you just never expected it and yeah...all at once. I think back in High School/Halo days I called it being Stormtroopered. Blah, no need to get into it. But that's just kinda what happened with me.

So tomorrow I have the day off. I got my car fixed up in Ogden this last weekend...so I need to go pick up my tags. Thanks again Dennis for helping me find someone to help me out. Also I'm going to Celtic Woman with my family. Please people. Instead of asking me what it is...just check HERE. Pretty much just like a Michael Flatley kinda thing but more musical and yep, you guessed it. More woman. With more music. Eh...we'll see how it goes.

My arm hurts.

Since I don't have much to really say this week, we'll just jump to the sports world real fast. Sorry ladies.

My predictions are looking pretty on...except maybe a game or so off. Cavs swept the Hawks...LBJ is just amazing in itself. I still think that the Lakers will take down the Rockets. Denver has that series, and the Mavs can suck it. So the way we are looking is the Lakers/Nuggets and Cavs/Celtics. Just to comment on Boston, they'll take out Orlando. The Magic are a great team, but Celtics have it. Celtics have the stronger team and the more experience. If they would just zone in and not be so distracted all the time, they would have been done with this series already. Though, out of all the series that are left at the moment, the only one I could see going either way is the Boston/Orlando. So...we'll see what happens.

Baseball...my Mariners are falling. Makes me sad inside. They start playing Texas tomorrow who are currently first in the division. The Angels have also broke out of their injury slump and such, so they are barely ahead of Seattle...but blah. Whatever. Though the thing that I am enjoying watching the most at the moment is Ryan Zimmerman on the Nationals. 29 game hitting streak. Fetching sweet. :)

As for Manny, GG. Why in the world would you freaking take drugs now? Come on sucka...

"Random Week Stuff #2" 5/4/09

Thanks all of you that read the last one of these I posted. I just realized that all I really want is people to read what I write and make some small comment on it...even if it sucks. Makes me feel human. ;)

Just as a side note for Facebook, if you haven't tried out the Pirate English yet...do so. It's fetching awesome. :)

So I know this isn't an exact week since the last one I wrote, but I decided that I have more time to post these on Sunday nights instead of trying to throw it all together on a workday. So...yeah...moved to Sunday night now. And speaking of Sunday nights...I hate them. Nothing like a day where you sit around thinking about all the things you have to do on Monday. Not only that...but it's just so lame and boring. And here in Utah especially. Blah.

I finally got my room all finished today. Oh, I didn't tell you guys about that yet. Yeah, we moved all this week. We meaning Kyle and myself. See...Kyle and I lived on the middle floor of our apartment building. Since we are in college housing and all, we have four other people we live with. That's six people in one apartment. It's pretty horrible. There are four rooms in our apartment and two bathrooms. So...three people per bathroom. Yeah. Let me try to explain it a bit more. You walk into our apartment and you're in the living room. Behind the living room is the kitchen. If you go left or right of the living room there is a small hall way that leads to two of the bedrooms and one bathroom. So that's on each side. That's all that there is. Each side has the two bedrooms, one private room and one shared room. Hope you guys have the picture. Anyway, I lived in a private room. Not bad. Kyle was living in a shared...but since he's weird and retarded (he'll admit it too) he couldn't share the room with a random kid he didn't know. Probably why he didn't go on a mission. ;) Anyway, Kyle just slept on the couch forever. He wanted to get his own room but also stay in the same apartment as me. So...we had to move upstairs to do so.

Moving sucks. Even when you're just going upstairs it completely blows. You have to pack up everything just to put it back up. You find crap you wish you had lost forever...you find things that you thought you lost forever but you bought it again cause you really needed it. You break things, people steal things, you have to clean things. It just sucks. Anyway, we got that all done. Kyle has his own little room now and he's happy. GG for him. So yeah...today I just finished off my room which was fine. Nothing crazy. Got all my pictures up and everything is good. Except that now I have this kid that lives across the hall from me in the shared room who is fetching weird. He's 18, and he still acts like he's four or five. You know when you were little and people would come over, and you wanted them to like you and be a part of your life so you would run in your room and bring out all your coolest stuff to show them? Yeah...that's him. Kyle had some girls come over last night and I swear the kid brought out half his room trying to impress them. Nunchucks, masks, mini guitars, real guitars, videos, video games, food, clothes etc. etc. It was insane. Eh, enough about my place. It's really not that cool.

Sports time. So you girls can skip this. My prediction of the Bulls beating out the Celtics was wrong. Yes I know. But still. Game 7? Five of the games going into an OT? That was probably one of the most amazing series I had ever witnessed. Better than that series of Rock of Love with the chick with the huge knockers too! Wait...that's all of them...and every series. Eh. Bulls should have had that series. Makes sense that they would lose out in Game 7 though. Being in Boston and having it be a Game 7 with a young team...GG. Too many nerves and hype going on...but they did really well and I give a lot of credit to that team. I also think they would have had a good chance at beating out the Magic as well...but that's not what is going to happen. Since more than likely the Celtics will meet up with the Cavs for the Conference Finals and then the Cavs will sweep them in 4 games. And yes, that's a bold prediction, but I just see it happening. Or who knows, the Magic might pull a fast one on them. Guess we'll see.

Also last week I posted about how Boozer is like Malone and that he would leave the Jazz and stuff. Well apparently that pissed some people off...and people started sending me links to press conferences about how Boozer doesn't want to leave and he wants to stay with the team...and how he's such a better person than Malone is. Yeah...I know. Calm down people. Malone is the most retarded person I have ever read about...and when meeting him I had never met a man that was more rude than him. The only time I have ever smiled when concerning him is when I saw him running down a cobblestone alley to attack my level 60 priest in Strathome...gotta love "Mailman Malone". :) As for Boozer...yeah it does seem that he is going to stick around. That's cool I suppose. But I still think that the Jazz need to get something else for the team to give it that little kick to make them go somewhere. And I don't think that Boozer is going to do it for them. Williams is amazing...and I'm more amazed that he likes playing for Utah. Boozer will work out...but something needs to happen to bring that fire. Guess we'll see what happens next year.

On to baseball...(yes girls...I'm still going on with sports). My Mariners made an amazing come back today against the A's. I was pretty impressed. Impressed with how the Mariners were playing for sure...but more impressed on how bad of a decision the A's coach made when he left Gonzalez in for so long to make us win. Taking the game to 15 innings is one thing. But when you had the game in the 13th inning and you were up by 3...just to let us trash you to tie it up again...come on. It's a win either way...and we still hold the lead in the division. Finally to wrap up the baseball world real quick...I love how the Red Sox and the Yankees are not in first place in their division. Makes me smile so much. Actually...I love that how only 1 of the 6 divisions have a leader that went to the playoffs last year. Everyone else has a major upset and surprise. Gotta love baseball. :)

My predictions for this week (which are usually wrong I know):

-Denver will beat out Dallas ending in Game 6
-LA will beat out Houston ending in Game 5
-Boston will beat out Orlando ending in Game 6
-Cleveland will beat out Atlanta ending in Game 4
-And just to say it now...the Detroit Lions will win no more than 5 games this year...improving from 0.

Had to say it since they picked up first round pick Matt Stafford and they think he'll be changing the world. Won't happen.

Moving along to everyone's favorite part....Random Awards!:

As a final thought...it's always been a fascinating thing to me to try and figure out the "base" system when it comes to being physical with someone. I think this COMIC might just sum it up for all of us. :)

"Random Week Stuff #1" 4/28/09

Meh...I decided today that I'm going to write in this note dealio once a week. Kinda like a blog...but not really cause I don't have it officially at some random "blog-spot" place. Oh well...I figure more people will see it on here or at least run into it. Anyway...here we go. Off on my randomness and such. (By the way, this is my third attempt at doing this...I got half way through this twice and then hated it...)

So this whole Swine Flu thing...what the crap is it? Funny it seems that no one knows what is happening. I don't even know what is happening to be honest. Though, I do know that the cases that have happened in the States have only been in Cali and New York. So no...you're not going to die Kyle. Stop freaking out. Though I did find this comic to be pretty funny concerning the flu. :) COMIC

Another thing that entertains me this week is also dealing with people and them freaking out about everything. For those of you that don't know where I work, I work for a company called Invisus. We deal with computer security and being a personal tech for you and your computer. This means that I deal with a lot of viruses and other stuff. It's not bad, but there are times that it gets out of hand. For example...when April Fools came around and the world thought that it was going to be another Y2K. Seriously people? You really think that if some hacker threatened the world that all the computers were going to explode, you would listen to him? You're retarded. Keep your Window's up to date...keep some good virus protection on your computer, and stop looking at porn. Do that, you win.

In the sports world the NBA Playoffs are happening and the MLB season has been going to for about 4 weeks now. It's been nice and fun for me to keep up on it all. But really people...did you think that the Jazz would hold up a chance at all against the Lakers? Yeah...not so much. I'm going to call out just a few things that I think will happen in the playoffs. If I'm wrong...whatever...but these are my predictions.

-Bulls will beat out the Celtics. It's meant to be.
-Lakers and Cavs will make it to the finals, and the Cavs will win in 6 games.
-Since the Jazz lost out, Boozer will now officially leave for good. If they would have won the whole thing, he would have stayed. He's just like Malone...so don't be sad.

As for the MLB, this is where I am paying more attention to as of late. Since I'm a nerd and like doing things with the baseball...I joined up with with 3 different fantasy leagues. So...I have 3 teams. It's been fun to watch and see what's going on for sure. And my hate for the Red Sox has grown stronger and stronger. Good news is though, the Mariners are holding out in first place in the division. So that makes me feel pretty good inside since they have been my team for years. If you guys want to know one rookie to watch this year, check out Dexter Fowler from the Rockies. Monday he had 5 stolen bases in one game. The kid's a rocket...and he's been conditioned to be an amazing athlete. :)

I don't have much else to write about...so I'm going to give out my random awards of the week. :)

I lost my patience trying to find things at work and having everyone call me about their computer problems. Go figure that I've had more calls so far today from people I know about computer issues than I have from actually customers. So retarded.
